Angenieux usually produces more saturated color than other brands, later version is more desirable because it has sharper image and higher resolution.
Only a few of the Angenieux 50/1.8 S1 are in Leica Thread Mount (LTM, L39). Most of them are early version, with a brass lens head. A few pieces are later version with 3 silver rings.
